Switching from Amazon to Google Play

Licenses cannot be transferred. Amazon and Google Play use different app signatures, so your Amazon purchase cannot be moved to Google Play. We are also unable to transfer licenses manually.

If you want to use aCalendar+ from Google Play, you will need to purchase it again. Note: aCalendar+ (Amazon) and aCalendar+ (Google Play) cannot be installed on the same device at the same time. If you like to use it in parallel you can install aCalendar (without the +) from Google Play and do an In-App purchase, please see also: About Upgrades.

If you want to switch to Google Play, follow these steps to avoid losing your data:

1

Export your app settings

Go to Settings, open the menu in the top bar and tap Export. Save the file somewhere safe.

2

Export your local tasks

Go to Tasks → Manage lists and accounts. Export each task list individually.

3

Uninstall the Amazon version

Remove aCalendar+ from the Amazon Appstore from your device.

4

Install from Google Play

Install aCalendar+ from Google Play Store.

5

Import your app settings

Go to Settings, open the menu in the top bar and tap Import.

6

Import your local tasks

Go to Tasks → Manage lists and accounts, open the menu and tap Import.

Local calendars are not stored inside aCalendar but in Android’s calendar storage. We generally recommend using a cloud service instead of local calendars – see Using local calendars for details.

General notes

Slight version differences

Due to Amazon’s policies and the limitations of Fire OS, the version on Amazon App Store may differ slightly from the Google Play version.

Updates may arrive at different times

We publish updates to both Amazon App Store and Google Play, but due to differences in how each store handles rollouts, they may not be available at exactly the same time.

App Store not updating correctly?

If the Amazon App Store is not installing or updating the app correctly, try logging out and back in to your Amazon account, or reinstall the Amazon App Store app. For further help: Amazon Help & Customer Service
