The App Info is a system-level settings screen that exists for every app on your phone. It allows you to configure notifications, permissions, and power/data management, as well as resetting the cache/storage or default link settings. Sometimes our support team may ask you to make adjustments in the App Info screen for aCalendar, the Android calendar storage, or the Google Calendar app. Here are the easiest ways to open this system menu.

1

The Quick Home Screen Method

On most modern Android devices, you can access the system menu directly from your home screen or app drawer:

Long-press the App Icon

Find the aCalendar icon on your home screen or inside your app drawer. Touch and hold the icon for two seconds until a small menu pops up. Tap the small "i" icon (inside a circle) or select App Info from the menu list.

2

The System Settings Method

If the shortcut does not work or if you need to find central Android services, you can navigate through the primary configuration menus:

Navigate Through Settings

Open your phone's main Settings app. Go to Apps (or Apps & Notifications → See all apps). Scroll through the alphabetical list, find the specific app (e.g., aCalendar), and tap it to open its App Info page. Note: Core system processes like "Calendar Storage" are often hidden here by default and require you to tap a "Show system apps" menu first.

3

The Direct In-App Method (For Core System Apps)

To save you from searching through hidden system menus, aCalendar provides direct shortcuts to the App Info screens of your calendar providers:

Open via aCalendar Settings

Open aCalendar, expand the side menu, and go to Manage Calendars. Tap the three-dots menu icon in the top right corner. From here, you can select App Info aCalendar, the Android calendar storage or the Google Calendar. The app will immediately launch the deep-linked Android system screen for you.

Summary of available configurations: Once you are inside the App Info screen, you can manage critical system rules. It allows full configuration for Notifications, Permissions (like Contacts or Calendar access), and Power/Data management. Additionally, this screen is where you can reset the cache or storage database if a sync error occurs, or change your default link openings.
